Paul Thomas co-ordinates the Dementia Engagement and Empowerment Project (DEEP) – part of Innovations in Dementia – working to help make a real difference for people. Paul is passionate about DEEP and believes that having a voice that is heard makes all the difference.
Following on from the informal DEEP-organised gathering the previous day, Paul outlined the work the DEEP network helps to foster and the necessity of people living with dementia being central to all levels of decision-making affecting their lives. An update was also provided on the perspectives and priorities of those who attended the DEEP group meeting.
