Magdalena Schamberger: Humour creativity and dementia

Magdalena is an independent creative collaborator, director and theatre maker with a special interest in developing high quality performances with and for people living with dementia. She is the director of ‘Curious Shoes’, a collaborative performance for people living with dementia, which delivered 24 performances in theatres and care homes during 2017.  Magdalena is also former Artistic Director of Hearts & Minds and creator of the Elderflowers programme. In 2016 she was appointed Honorary Professor with the Division of Nursing at Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh.

Magdalena’s interactive presentation engaged the audience in simple, creative tasks to connect using humour and laughter.
