This Scottish Universities Insight Institute seminar series is entitled “Shifting paradigms for dementia: Involving people living with dementia across research, policy and practice”. The goal of the programme is to ‘shift paradigms’ within dementia, by challenging current thinking and practice through interdisciplinary collaboration and the participation of people with dementia. Drawing on three areas of inquiry; dementia and technology, dementia friendly communities and dementia and the arts, this seminar series aims to serve as a catalyst for change, towards the forging of knowledge partnerships between people with dementia, communities and universities as a route to sustainable, evidence-informed community development.
The first seminar in this series was held on Friday 13th October at the Scottish Universities Insight Institute, Collins Building, 22 Richmond St, Glasgow, G1 1XQ. You can find out more about the individual workshops below.
