Nicole Batsch is Study Author and Co-Author of the World Alzheimer Report 2012 at Alzheimer's Disease International, a survey of 2500 people with dementia and carers in 54 countries. The report includes best practices and recommendations for countries to be more inclusive of people with dementia. Nicole has 16 years’ experience developing ageing and dementia programmes across the US, largely within not-for-profit organisations. Over the course of her career, she has developed a literacy programme for older people, family caregiver interventions, a hospital-based senior wellness center, dementia staff training for home care and nursing homes, and initiatives for and with people with early stage dementia living in the community. Between 2010 and 2012, Nicole was a Governance Committee Member of the American Society on Aging. She is currently studying for a PhD in Gerontology, focusing on Alzheimer's & Dementia, at the Department of Social Science, Health & Medicine (SSHM) at King’s College London.
