Kate Fearnley is Deputy Chief Executive of Alzheimer Scotland, where she has responsibility for the management and development of the organisation’s services across Scotland. Kate first joined Alzheimer Scotland in 1991 and has held posts including Information Manager, Policy Director and Director of Personalisation. She has previously worked for Sustrans, the sustainable transport organisation, for Citizens’ Advice Scotland and in the HIV/AIDS field. Kate was closely involved in the design of Alzheimer Scotland’s 5 Pillars Model of Post-diagnostic Support and 8 Pillars Model of Community Support. She is the author of publications including Coping with dementia: a practical handbook for carers and Facing dementia: how to live well with your diagnosis published by NHS Health Scotland.
