Julie Christie is the Partnership Lead for Dementia in East Dunbartonshire, one of Scotland’s most rapidly ‘ageing’ places. She is particularly interested in co-production, adult protection, rights and risks.
Having previously worked as both a psychiatric nurse and social worker, Julie obtained an MSc in Dementia Studies in 2002. She has been employed as a consultant for the Dementia Services Development Centre, and Lecturer, at the University of Stirling, and in senior and managerial roles within social work, older people and hospital services. She is currently undertaking a PhD on resilience, dementia and social work practice.
