EvaJoanna (Jo) Alexjuk is a Lecturer in Dementia in the School of Health in Social Science at the University of Edinburgh. She is currently involved in the development and facilitation of the University’s online MSc programme, Dementia: International Experience, Policy and Practice. Prior to joining the team in Edinburgh, Jo was a Research Fellow at Northumbria University. She has also worked as a Dementia Trainer and Project Co-ordinator for the Alzheimer’s Society and, in various positions, for Cruse Bereavement Care. Jo has an MSc in Dementia Studies from the University of Stirling. In tandem with lecturing at Edinburgh, she is also completing a PhD at the University related to dementia care. Together with Sarah Keyes, and other co-authors, she has recently published a paper in Dementia on a qualitative analysis of peer support in dementia care.
